"I don't know what else to try," Mal admitted. She wasn't giving up. But it was obvious this was going to take time. It already was taking time. She hoped he knew how frustrated she was over all of it too. That she wasn't content to just...leave him like this despite everything that happened. Maybe the old Mal would have been, but that was not her anymore.

"But I figured you could use some company," She offered. They'd figure out how to turn him back eventually. In the meantime, she'd continue to visit him. She actually liked spending time out here, not that she was about to admit it.

"How are things going?" She knew he had to miss Uma and his friends on the Isle.
