It felt like pulling teeth, waiting for the kid to admit to the truth, and Dick couldn't help but notice that he seemed like he'd taken offense to something - what Dick said or the way he said it, he wasn't sure which but he suspected the latter, Jason had always been a little on the defensive side.

When he finally did confirm Dick's suspicions - or some of them, anyway - he nodded.

"Not this Gotham, but you know who I am, don't you?" he asked - and he didn't just mean Nightwing "and I'm pretty sure I know who you are..."

Honestly, it was taking at least a little of his self control not to be delighted at a tiny Jason running around looking all scowly and defensive. It was adorable.

It was also still Jason, so it was probably going to get infuriating rather than cute very quickly.
