He had no idea what possessed him to make the offer, why he suddenly thought it might be nice to have Bel attend such an event by his side. He doubted the other prince would even manage the level of effort it took to dress up for these things, and yet... so many people would see them both there, would know at a glance that they couldn't have Bel because he belonged..to... where did that thought come from?
