She feels her stomach flip flop at the way he perks up when he sees her. This boy....he makes her giddy more often than not. Her lips curve into a brilliant smile and she quickens her pace, reminding her that she probably shouldn't throw herself into his arms. She tries to stifle the smile without much success, biting at her bottom lip as she does.
"I'm really good," she tells him, almost as if she's exhaling a breath once she finally reaches him. "You? And yes. I'm so ready for this." She looks up toward the entrance to Chinatown then back to him. "Can we look around first? Or are you starving? I don't mind dinner if you'd rather do that."
Her words are a little too fast, tripping along with her nerves and her excitement.
