Ariel doesn't like the answer that she gets, but she expects it all the same. It's good to know that at least they can get her to Europe, if that's where Eric is, but she wishes that Dick had a more hopeful response than "I don't know" and "it seems like kind of a long shot." The worst part is that in retrospect, she knows he's right. She's never going to get him to fall in love with her in time and she's going to end up in Ursula's crutches for the rest of her life. This is what she gets for being so impulsive.

Visibly, she deflates, looking down and shrugging. They must all think she's so stupid...
