Xie isn't surprised or even particularly bothered by their manners - he's dined with plenty of people with worse table manners than him, worse table manners than any of them, too, but other people's manners are no excuse to let his own slip. That's what Yifu would say.
He watches the way they all glance at Kevin, thinking for a moment that they're judging him for his enthusiasm in eating (little barbarian, Yifu would say, if Xie was eating like that. He called Xie that a lot, sometimes it even sounded like a compliment, a pet name. Other times.. not so much).
He realises, though, with the way Kevin reacts, that they're worried about him. He huffs - disdain or envy, even he doesn't really know - and shakes his head slightly.
"Having his appetite back is a good sign." He observes.
Which probably gives away that he noticed it was lacking, last night, but he doesn't care so much if it makes them stop giving Kevin those looks.
