Something Brewing (Jack and Charles)

Things were not easy. It was an understatement, to say the least, but it was also a never-ending truth of their lives, so the additional subterfuge and secretive relationship with Charles had fallen into almost a routine. It was a difficult and complicated one, but a routine nonetheless.
A routine that was about to change.
It started on a sunny morning, they were sailing back from their latest conquest, the crew planning out what they'd spend their ill-gotten gains on, when Jack experienced what she assumed to be sea-sickness. She'd never had it before, but there was no other explanation for the suddenly overwhelming nausea that stole over her and had her executing an undignified sprint to the side of the ship to spew her breakfast overboard. The crew made a few jokes about Jack not being able to hold his rum and that was that, it was forgotten about, she was fine later that afternoon, nothing to worry about.
Then it happened again. And again on the third day, when they were already back in port and definitely on land, so it was back on with her female clothing (in case some kind of examination was required) and off to the town doctor.
The doctor who declared her almost certainly pregnant.
She walked back in a daze, not stopping to contemplate any attempt at stealth, until she heard a whistle and a shout of "Oi captain, that woman's back for you again," in a suggestive tone. Then she realised her mistake, but there was nothing she could do but wait for them to summon Vane and hope none of them recognised her in the meantime.
