Begrudgingly, Xie actually agrees that the clothes are nice. This episode draws a few more comments out of him - they aren't all related to interior decorating, but before long it is clear that he's paying attention to that slightly more than the other aspects of the makeovers.
By the time it's finished, his gaze has drifted to the beer a couple of times before he finally gives in and nods towards it, tone unexpectedly cautious as he says "May I...?"
