Kevin doesn't notice the mistakes as such - sometimes he sees an opening and takes it, but he's just not enough of an analyst to realise they were mistakes Xie shouldn't have made.
But he enjoys the game, and understands enough of Xie to realise that the barbs are a sign of enjoyment as well. It's just a game, when you come down to it.
Even when he does make a bad mistake and it leaves him open, he takes his time and recovers, where someone else might react badly and let it affect the rest of play.
