"It's okay, I think I can-" He starts, interrupting himself with action as he uses his good hand to sweep the hair over his shoulder. With careful, slow movements he manages to wind his hair into a single braid - he doesn't have to lift his arm too high that it's uncomfortable, and even moving slowly it's done quickly enough that the ache doesn't set in. He gropes for one of the abandoned ties and finishes it off, leaving it draped over his shoulder for ease. It's basic, but it keeps it neat and out of the way until he's able to do it properly again.
