Kevin races forward when they start hand to hand fighting, skidding to a halt by Xie, so that Zhao doesn't have to move his head much to see both of them. He stands a little in front of him, but not so Xie can't see past him, can't get past him if he needs.
He isn't even slightly distracted by the taunts, but uses the time to pull a healthy amount of magic into his hands, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet, waiting for the next attack, the next opening.
