He's more than happy to make snarky comments, or enjoy Xie's comments, but primarily he's enjoying the sensation if closeness, having someone who feels so comfortable around him that he's expressing opinions through the medium of a hand on Kevin's thigh.
And really this show sucks, he's only watching it for Xie, but it's worth it for the commentary.
