"Mate, you are under arrest for kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm," he states calmly, just loud enough for his guy to hear, and for Xie to hear through the link. "You do not have to say anything..."
When he struggles, tries to protest or warn his friend, Kevin swipes again and throws him against the wall again.
This time the whole house shakes, the old bricks shuddering with memory and a wave of power- not Xie's, Kevin doesn't even need Xie for this - washes through, sweeping up the magical restraint.
