It's not a spell he's ever heard of before, but that's been a common occurrence with the kind of magic Kevin does. Familiars aren't tied with any particular type of magic themselves, but he's only ever really experienced Yifu's variety most of the time.
It does make him wonder, though, if anybody's used it on him before, if they've learned things without him realising...
