Xie crawls over to the edge of the table, freezing when Kevin jumps. For a second, he doesn't even realise what's caused it - until he remembers that, of course, Kevin doesn't know about his alternate form right now.
It would be funny if it wasn't weirdly upsetting. It's fine if other people get freaked out, but Kevin was always so calm about it... well, except that first time, but he'd deliberately been trying to creep him out that time.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you" He says softly, carrying on to the edge of the table so he can shift, leaving him sitting on it.
"Scorpion stings don't kill you." He says over his shoulder to Tony, mostly as a distraction now.
