It takes all of Xie's self control for his head to turn slowly, to glance back towards the source of that voice with a kind of speculative interest that he should have in such a situation.
He almost holds his breath, waiting to see if she's going to be outbid. Perhaps it would be best if she wasn't, if the memories end up with the auction house they'll probably be much easier to get back, but it will also make it much harder to track down (and punish) the people who took them in the first place.
Either way, he's going to approach her as soon as he can reasonably do it.
