"This must be it." She says, looking up at the place. She spots the spots of blood on the drive as they walk up to the door, and decides not to bring Kevin's attention to them.
When Xie hears the knock on the door he just knows, which is stupid because it's not as though there's any kind of link or magic telling him that it's Kevin and not any of her allies, but he does. It's not magic, it's... trust. Faith. Love.
So he stands, leaves the guest room and moves to the top of the stairs, waiting. Resisting the urge to answer it himself.
