Kevin shrugs a sort of apology at Spot - he's right, Ezra does seem to be distracted, but he does also seem to be enjoying it, a long as Xie responds to his scritches.
But then a teacher sticks her head around the door, and frowns at them both.
"Beth said I might find you here, Ezra. Do you feel like joining us for English?"
"No..." Ezra's shoulders slump, and he scowls at her, but rather than starting a fight, he slumps out, having given Xie one more stroke on the head.
He glares at Spot as he goes though. How come he isn't being hauled out?
