Ava was pretty sure that Tony Stark, SHIELD and the Avengers had introduced her to Peter initially because Coulson, Tony and Natasha had gotten together and had some sort of meeting about how she needed more teenagers in her life. They obviously couldn't turn her loose (because that had gone so well last time), but at some point they'd decided that Peter Parker was a good influence.
Those first few meetings had been awkward, with the both of them stumbling and tripping over each other. It had gotten better though, mostly because, in Ava's opinion, Peter was amazing. They were friends now and she could almost always slip away from SHIELD headquarters if she told them she was meeting Peter. In any case, it was always true.
Today, it's Chinese food in Chinatown, a place that she's never actually been despite having lived the bigger part of her life in New York City, or not far outside of it.
