It's all coming back to me now (Spot and Bucky)

When the Hydra facility had been raided, the last thing anybody expected to find was a 16 year old kid on ice, and yet there he'd been. Steve had been the one to stop the Hydra scientist from shutting down the life support, but they hadn't got there in time to prevent the destruction of a good half the facility's records - including the ones about who the kid was or why he was there.

So what choice did they have but to wake him up and find out?

He was uncooperative at first, refused to give them any details other than the name 'Spot' and kept threatening to fight anybody that came close, though they managed to work out pretty easily that he was from Brooklyn and he'd been on the ice almost as long as Steve had. It's when he overhears a comment about Bucky that he seems to change his tune.

"Bucky Barnes?" he asks, and while he still seems wary, for the first time since he woke up he says something actually helpful "I'll talk to him. Tell him the name's Sean Conlon."

"Carrying things one-armed is a pain, but I can still handle a knife..." He says flipping it in his hand. "You can plate it up though." He smiles as Steve comes in and grabs sodas to put on the coffee table and maybe a beer or two for him and Buck. "Pretty Ghostbusters is from the list Clint gave us," Bucky says heading to the living room.

"It is," Steve nodding, "Which means it should be pretty fun."

"Sure." Spot nods, grabbing the plates from the cupboard and dishing out the food. Once it's all set out he carries it through to the coffee table and grabs a slice of the pizza before dropping onto the sofa.

"Hey can I have a beer?" he asks innocently. He knows what the answer's going to be, but hey, it's worth a try.

Bucky laughs out loud at the request, "Good for you for trying." He smiles shaking his head, "But no." He says sliding Spot a soda.

The movie is fun, silly, and scary at parts, he really likes it, it's all weirdly domestic and he enjoys it. He ends up on the floor leaning against Steve's legs, the blonds fingers carding through his hair.

"What are you and Peter doing tomorrow?" He asks voice easy and relaxed.

Spot accepts the soda (and related defeat) and settles back to watch the movie.

It's actually a lot of fun and he really enjoys it, it's a nice ending to what ended up being a pretty nice day, except for the horrible guilt trip part of it.

"We didn't really plan anything, he was just gonna come over and hang out in my room." and maybe make out a bit, but he's not going to mention that part in front of his parents.

"Sounds good, supposed to rain tomorrow anyway," Bucky says as he and Steve start to clean up once the movie is over. "Better go get your homework and the classwork done." He says arching a brow at Spot. "Or is Peter gonna help you with that tomorrow?' He asks exchanging and amused look with Steve.

"Nah, I was gonna try and get it done before," Spot admits with a sigh - he really can't be bothered with schoolwork right now, but he doesn't want it hanging over his time with Peter. As helpful as Peter could be with some of the subjects he struggled with, he'd rather spend the time with his maybe-almost-boyfriend doing.. not schoolwork.

Of course that meant he actually had to go and get it done.

"If you want I can help you get through some of it unless you want to go hole up in your room, like a moody teenager." He teases smiling a little, hip checking Steve as he moves through the kitchen to put the dishes away, metal fingers clinking against the ceramic.

"My money's onmoody teenager, he won't graduate if you help him, you left your brains in Germany," Steve says giving Steve a shit-eating grin.

"Says the man who doesn't know what a god damn parachute is." Bucky arches an eyebrow at the blond.

"...would you two rather I went and did my homework upstairs?" Spot asked with a raised eyebrow, since their playful banter lead to things he did not want to hear from his parents nine times out of ten, and if he's going to get a chance to heed that warning this time he's going to take it.

"Awww does having parents that love each other make you uncomfortable," Bucky smirks laughing softly shaking his head. "No I can help you if you want," Bucky says stretching a little.

"I have some drawings I want to finish anyway, working on something for Clint's birthday." Steve smiles.

"Only when you's get all sappy in fronta me." Spot retorts with a smirk "Which is always, by the way, you two are the worst."

(He actually thinks it's kind of sweet, but he's never going to admit to that out loud)

"I'll stay down here and work, so I can ask you if I need anything?" he suggests, standing up from the couch and stretching, intending to go and grab his schoolbag.

"How come you only do stuff as gifts, pop?" he asks curiously "You should sell your stuff, or have a gallery or something."

Bucky smiles at Spot and shakes his head a little when Spot asks Steve about his drawing.

"It's for me." He shrugs, "People would only buy it because Captain America did it." He points out, "and I don't want that. Gallery, that was a hope before the war," He says honestly, "But people would only go see it because it's Captain America." He shrugs and he's right. "What I draw isn't, I get to be Steve when I draw, and I don't want that to change, kid." He smiles settling at the drawing table in the living room and turning on the lamp over it.

Bucky goes over and kisses the top of Steve's head and ruffles his hair a little making Steve laugh. "You're a sap you know that, a very talented sap, Steve Rogers." He says before flopping across the couch and flicking the TV to food network.

Spot grabs his bag and sits down at the table, digging out his work while he thinks about Steve's words. He gets it, it's a shame but he gets it - Steve's work is more than good enough for people to want to see it for its own merit, but it would attract people because of who he was rather than what he did.

"Why not do it anonymously or something? There's gotta be some way of sharing your art just as itself and not 'art that Captain America did', and then you'll know people are enjoying it for what it is."

"Therapist made me get an Instagram to make new memories, we can probably figure something out, but when you're ready." He smiles at Steve and settles into the Great British Bake Off.

It's nice, domestic, he's starting to get used to it, his eyes track over to Spot, and it's weird that he and Steve suddenly have a family. It feels good, it feels like they were meant to spend the time they did in the ice because now, well now they have everything they ever really wanted.

Sure there had been a cost but he's pretty sure it was all worth it.

Personally, Spot thinks his idea should have been met with far more enthusiasm because it was an excellent idea, but he doesn't push it; it's enough that it's out there and that Steve might even think about it. More people deserved to see his art, it really was very good.

He turns back to his homework and kind of zones out, oblivious to his father's gaze once he gets working.

The rest of the evening passes peacefully Bucky or Steve helping slot when he needs it. They all wander off to bed eventually.

Bucky sleeps in for once, a rare occurrence, but his trouble sleeping is starting to ease as more and more time passes. Still the occasional nightmare, but even Steve still has that issue from time to time. Just part of the job he figures.

Bucky comes downstairs to Steve pouring himself a bowl of Lucky Charms making Bucky laugh a little. "The most adult of breakfasts." He smiles.

"You're the one that bought it." Steve counters sitting down on the couch as Bucky pours himself a bowl. The weather report was right the sky is already dark and heavy with rain clouds. Though Bucky never minded a rainy Saturday at home.

Spot is already dressed when he comes down for breakfast, which is a rarity because Spot is very much not a morning person, but Peter was supposed to be coming over fairly early and he wanted to actually be ready.

When he sees both his parents are engaging in the fine tradition of overly sugary cereal for breakfast, he happily pours himself a bowl - they can't tell him to have a more nutritious breakfast when they aren't, now, can they?

Bucky blinks and laughs a little at Spot shaking his head a little. "It's raining, you just have your friend coming over." Bucky points out, but there is a smile on his face. "I doubt you have to rush to get dressed and eat." He teases a little.

"Steve and I are going to a movie, we'll be back around one... unless we can't trust you." He says smirking a little.

"Maybe we should have Matt come over." Steve laughs putting a mug of coffee in front of Bucky and sitting down with his own.

Spot ignores the teasing and sits down with his cereal, rolling his eyes at the comment about trusting him.

"I promise not to burn the house down while you's out." he deadpans "We don't need somebody to watch us."

Still, he hadn't realised they'd have the house to themselves...

"I know you don't believe this, but at one point in time we were in fact 15-year-olds, so we weren't talking about burning the house down," Bucky says mildly scrolling through the news on his tablet. Obviously trying not to laugh, but also dreading the conversation they would probably need to have at some point.

"We don't need someone to watch us." he repeats stubbornly "All we's gonna be doin' is hanging out."

And the less he thinks about his parents being his age, or exactly what Bucky is implying, the better. Even if Spot is definitely planning make-outs. Mostly he's just glad of the idea that he won't have to be paying constant attention to whether or not Bucky's going to walk in on them and he can just relax and enjoy it.

"You'll never be able to tell if Matt is on the roof or not." Steve smirks over his coffee. Bucky ruffles Sean's hair as they head out, "Try not to anything too stupid." He smiles laughing a little as Steve pulls Bucky out of the house.

He just rolls his eyes and waves them off, washing up his bowl while he waits for Peter to arrive.

Once he does, they start with lounging on the sofa talking about school, then playing video games, all the while edging ever closer. By the time they put a movie on they're so close they're almost lying on top of each other and then, well, they stop paying attention to the movie.

Or anything else, for that matter, which is probably why neither of them hear the door and Bucky and Steve are going to walk in on Peter Parker lying on their sofa without a shirt on, Spot draped over him and currently working on leaving a truly impressive hickey on his collarbone, and his fingers just beginning to dip below the waistband of Peter's jeans.

Bucky sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose as Steve tries not to laugh.

"I thought we told him not to do anything stupid," Bucky says eyes flicking over to Steve.

"Is this stupid or expected." Steve counters.

"They're on the couch in the living room, he has a bedroom, could have easily heard us come in and had enough time not to get caught." Bucky shrugs. "Peter you should probably put your shirt on."

That's when Steve starts to laugh.

Both boys' heads whipped round in surprise when Bucky and Steve started speaking, and Spot scrambled to get off of Peter, offering him a hand to help him sit up as well.

"Spider sense?" Spot hisses at the red-faced Peter, who shrugs helplessly and tries to find his shirt. He manages to grab it and pull it over his head.

"Uh I'm really sorry Mr Barnes, um, Mr Rogers, we were just - uh- you, um, you know what we were- um. I'm sorry."

Spot would just like the ground to swallow him up now please, his parents were the worst.

"Stop apologizing Peter," Bucky says and there isn't any anger there. "We're gonna order pizza for lunch, we are gonna have to tell your aunt about these shenanigans," Bucky says, figures they both need a talking too, and well he's not talking to Peter about this shit, he weirdly had to work with the kid sometimes. He also knew the nurse would probably take the same stance he and Steve did, they were gonna get up to shit like this no matter what they did. So why be anger.

"We're gonna talk later, but for now do something PG-rated." He snorts heading into the kitchen.
